Welcome!

We are writing a book about the first 100 years of Atascadero High School. The first graduating class of AHS seniors donned cap and gown in 1921. Their freshmen year, in 1917, put them on the journey of their own, and each left a story.

In honor of their stories, the stories of every Greyhound since, and as a gift to those freshmen Greyhounds that began their own journey in 2017, we have secured the talents of the venerable Lon Allan to author the compilation of rich history that makes us still and always proud to be Greyhounds.
AHS 1st 100 Years is a committee of the Atascadero Greyhound Foundation, working in coordination with the Atascadero Unified School District, and the Atascadero High School.

Our rich history

In celebration of the approaching anniversary of the freshman year of the first graduating class of Atascadero High School, we have taken upon ourselves the daunting task of compiling the first century of Greyhounds' history.

Since the first graduates walked in graduation in 1921, ours has been a journey walked together. Today, we still walk together, and need your help.
